Problem with long pieces
on: May 11, 2004, 06:06:41 PM
Ok, I have a dilemma that it effecting my desire to play, and is the cause of my most frustrated in playing.

I really have never worked on many 'long' piano works. Usually what I play is about four pages long. Well, over the past year I've suddenly found myself playing long pieces, like a beethoven sonata, 12 variations by Mozart, a Schubert Impromptu. I can honestly say that I don't have any clue how to go about learning something that is over 10 pages long. (And it doesn't help that I pick the hardest of the pieces my teacher gives me to choose from.) Any advice for me?
