Probably people.
If aliens were able to get close enough to land on earth to make a crop circle, I think they would have tried to make contact.

I'm one of those "freaks" who thinks that aliens already live among us, but they fear persecution from the human race.
When we need them and are willing to accept them, they will be here to save our race, and we will be eternally grateful, imho.

Why would aliens make circles in crops when I have a perfectly good lawn that needs cutting.
