This is so sad--he was the best. I'm grateful to have seen him twice--each time I left the auditorium with aching sides! I assume he'll still receive the 2008 Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, albeit posthumously.

I was fortunate enough to work with him on one occasion... I did the stage lighting for one of his shows in 2003... and got his autograph too!  8)

Comedian who actually challenged us, our thoughts and made us laugh all the way home. We will miss him.
