ltcl repertoire - need some advice
on: June 25, 2008, 12:13:09 PM
hi all,
i am going to take the ltcl examination by self-studying.
actually i am planning to play these four pieces :
Bach - Partita No.2 in C Minor
Chopin - Scherzo No.2 in Bb Minor
Ravel - Jeux d'eau (*)
Messiaen - Premiere Communion de la Vierge
for ravel's jeux d'eau, i am not sure whether trinity will approve it or not.
and for the remaining, i hv already finished learning the chopin and messiaen. for the partita i have finished sinfonia, allemande and courate.
can anyone advice me on the choice of repertoire? or is it too unbalanced or overweighted? but i hope that at least 2 of the above repertoire can remain since i don't have much time for the practice.
also i would like to ask that is it nessesary/compulsory to play a sonata in the ltcl exam?
many thanks!
