2008 Mannes International Keyboard Festival
on: July 01, 2008, 01:38:39 PM
The 2008 Mannes International Keyboard Institute & Festival(IKIF)will be held at Mannes School of Music on West 85th in Manhattan from July 13-27. This is a truly amazing festival with two solo recitals and 10-15 masterclasses(the one in the program is in the main hall but there are around 6 others going on simultaneously) EACH DAY.

Here is a summary page with the recital dates and brief faculty bios at the bottom:
https://ikif.org/StartPage.aspx

Here you can find out more detail about the faculty and recitalists. Even if you may not have heard of some of these pianists, if you look at these detailed bios you will be amazed at what they've accomplished:
https://ikif.org/faculty.aspx

Here is the complete program listing for each recital:
https://ikif.org/schedule.aspx

Since I bought a season pass for the recitals and know I won't want to attend all 25 of them, I am offering tickets at half price of $10 to almost any of the recitals except Yakushev, the Sunday faculty concerts, Entremont and Hamelin.
Please  PM me ASAP if you are interested.

Looks like an interesting program.  What's the festival like?
