CONCERTOOOOOOOOOOS PPL!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE!
on: July 03, 2008, 08:46:42 PM
Hello Admins. ,

I am asking you.. No, pleading you... NO BESEECHING YOU to add concertos to the website!! I AM DYING. I can't find anything here, I live in Iraq and I can't get music but from this site, I really need Ravel's G piano concerto, Prokofiev's 3rd piano concerto and a bunch of Mozart's concertos. PLEASE PLEASE!! I will pay for them if you want to just upload them on the website! Why is it taking you forever??!!!

Whoever support my cause say aye!

Big love,
Zuhal. A desperate pianist looking for concertos

A bit over-the-top, eh?

For us musicians, the music of Beethoven is the pillar of fire and cloud of mist which guided the Israelites through the desert.  (Roughly quoted, Franz Liszt.)

More Piano Concertos will be added to our sheet music library but is not highest priority at the moment.
Ravel and Prokofiev are under copyright but the Mozart Concertos can be requested in the sheet music requests board (will move this topic there now) if you specify which concertos you are looking for or as kyliec suggests, try the recently reopened www.imslp.org (even if many of the pieces you are looking for appears to be blocked for copyright reasons.)

Thakn you so much for your reply, you are absolutely right about the blocked pieces. Quite disappointing to be honest.

It'll be great to add at least Mozart's 23rd piano concerto ''K 488''

Thanx!

Maybe it was confiscated at customs for being offensive material.

I agree with kyliec to try the recently reopened IMSLP site:

https://www.imslp.org/

It does have a lot of offer this site and you are best trying to find whatever you need fast before they consider charging prices.

In my opinion, the Prokofiev 2nd and 3rd concerti rank among the greatest in the literature.

unfortunately, I found nothing there... I have to wait till 2028 to get Ravel's concerto.. LOL. The problem is that I don't mind buying it, but what's the point if I'm not going to get it by mail? I want to be able to download it and print it.

Ravel is no longer in copyright.

He died in 1937.
