Moving Threads
on: July 06, 2008, 01:12:17 PM
As some people may have noticed...I moved a topic and then renamed it to "Summer". Just testing the little button that moves threads...but when you move a thread to another board...it seems to lock.
What is the point moving threads if they lock? Can't there be a button that lets the creator of the thread lock and unlock their own threads, regardless if they have been moved or not.

By "locked" I mean...you can't post in them, or modify messages or add polls.
Nils...is it possible to allow authors of threads to unlock and lock their threads if they have been moved? It's quite frustrating otherwise.

If you move topics they do not lock, or at least, they should not lock.
I see your "Summer" topic in the anything board which is locked and I assume this was the "Moved" notification which appears in the board where the topic was originally placed. This post is locked because it makes no sense to reply to it and it should not be retitled or modified. What was the original tiltle of the topic and where did you move it?

I don't know. I just hit one of my threads (I've got several) and clicked the button and it just acted odd. Yet, I look through my threads and they're all still there. Hmm...can you delete the "Summer" one as it was a mistake due to my experimenting with the unknown icons.
Sorry.
