help me idetnify a tune?
on: July 06, 2008, 08:37:29 PM
might be Brahms.  A friend gave me an easy arrangement, but I let a guest organist use it and didnt' get it back, even before I'd played it myself.

la la, la-la-la, la, la la la-la-la, la la

Or, quarter half, quarter quarter half half, quarter half, quarter quarter half

Bb, Eb, D, Eb, D, C; Eb F, G, F,  G, Eb, F?

Or something like that.  I have it in my head, want to use it as a prelude in church.

Well, if I can follow your notation, I THINK it's Brahms, and it's that glorious big tune from the last movement of the First Symphony.

Well, DOH!

Of course it is, I had brain lock.  I should have known better, but somehow I was looking for an organ piece and missed the real source.

Thanks much.
