These ten popular family sedans are some of America's most popular and common cars.

For once we agree.

When you drive this, your eyes are on the front seat but your stomach is on the back.

Indeed, couldn't agree more!!!

If I were to spare 20 grands on a car that would've been second hand manuals like BMW M3 or 330. Consider 50K-80K milege for those is just broken in and either one by far outlast any of you listed. Not to mention, once the cars you listed would just start taking off you would be already for at least for a couple minutes standing and waiting for the next traffic light to change.
Another second handers would be Audi A4, or some well resotred eye catcher classics like Austin Martin roadster, BMW 3.0CL, etc.

Best, M

Usually the reverse, in my experience. I'm one of the fastest drivers in London and I drive a 1993 Skoda Favorit with a completely standard 1289cc engine. Only once in a blue moon does anyone see me off at the lights. There must be something about 'fast' cars that disables the reflexes of most drivers, as far as I can see.
Instrumentalists are all wannabe singers. Discuss.

Perhaps they are worried that something will fall off your Skoda and hit them.

Not at all, I'm sure - and, since I happen to know that Richard Black is also one of the fastest bicycle drivers in London, I'm quite sure that no one there has ever feared - or had cause to fear - being assailed by a dislodged airborne handlebar...

That said, Richard's remark about reflexes is, I submit, well apposite - and not for nothing did someone (who would probably have appreciated his observation) once say to me that he didn't give a monkeys about how long it supposedly takes for this or that car to get from 0-60mph compared to how long it takes to get from 0-25mph.

Best,
