Liszt progression pieces
on: July 21, 2008, 02:33:04 AM
This may be on of the stupidest threads yet but I'm going to post it anyway. Done with the 1st, 3rd and 4th consolations, although not memorized yet(As if!). What's next?
Trying to return to playing the piano.

"Benediction de Dieu dans la Solitude."

Move from mere mortal consolation to spiritual rebirth.

(twice i deleted what i wrote down previous to posting it...oh, well...)

some suggestions:

- nuages gris and bagatelle sans tonalite;
- other pieces from harmonies (avoidinig funerailles);
- something from the annees, such as sposalizio or sonetto 123 (well, take care: the dante sonata is also part of those cycles);
- not my favorite liszt, but something from the soirees.

this is just the top of the iceberg: liszt was one of the most prolific piano composers ever. listen and try something different as well.

best!
