Whats your opinion?
on: May 17, 2004, 12:28:42 PM
I've never seen Jim Brickman mentioned in Piano Forum, and thought I might get slammed for bringing his name up, but wondered does anyone here care for his music?
It's certainly not "classical" in the same sense most of the pieces discussed here are, however I happened to hear some the other day and actually thought it was pretty, and I was surprised that I even liked it. I usually don't go for that kind of playing, but I did. It had a relaxing type feeling about it, unhurried and all of it sounded very simple, yet really beautifully plain. Any other opinions on his style of playing?

His style is pretty interesting. My parents bought like six of his CD's last year and started listening to them on every car trip we took, so I know a lot of his songs. I like his version of "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star." I agree, though, that it sounds relaxing and simple.
