how to synchronize my hands?
on: July 23, 2008, 08:43:23 AM
My left hand cannot synchronize with my right hand when I play scales. My left hand play slower than my right hand. Help me please, what should I do? Thanks.  :)
Sorry if my English bad.
Hope someday I'll be a good pianist ^.^

If you're righthanded, it´s normal that your right hand is better in playing the piano and faster and that your left hand is slower. You can synchronize them by putting all your attention, while playing the scale, to your left hand and let your right hand follow the left hand.

Feel the beat.  Play slower.  Then push the speed up carefully over time.

Make sure your left hand knows what it's doing by itself.  Play LH alone.  Mine isn't as confident as the right, but that's how it is.

do more practice on the weaker hand
like you practice the scale on the right hand 5 times followed and on the left hand 10 times

The Quiet Revolutionary of the Piano – Fauré’s Complete Piano Works Now on Piano Street

In the pantheon of French music, Gabriel Fauré (1845–1924) often seems a paradox—an innovator cloaked in restraint, a Romantic by birth who shaped the contours of modern French music with quiet insistence. Piano Street now provides sheet music for his complete piano works: a body of music that resists spectacle, even as it brims with invention and brilliance. Read more
