Nils is famous!
on: August 15, 2008, 09:34:38 PM
LOL...what a coincidence.

The King of Norway has travelled to Edinburgh Zoo (in Scotland) and knighted a penguin that is called Nils, shame it wasn't a Sweedish King...

What is the world coming to? Knighting penguins? By 2020, the world will have it's first Army of Penguins.

Sounds like something America would do... :P

Hahahahaha! That would be awesome, penguin army and commander Sir Nils. Oooh another penguin story: government here renamed fairy penguins because they were worried the name would offend gay people. What is up with this political correctness bs these days?!

Australia, I think they're called 'little penguins' or something now.

See, I got the whole itty bitty petite fairy with wings that fly around with a magic wand type of image...never even connected it to gay people.

I know, I've seen them before and they're tiny and have blue backs and white fronts. They mostly live just off the SA coast i think. Well apparently Howard made the connection because they're now little penguins. Stupid political correctness...

Oh they're adorable. When I was young I went on holiday to Kangaroo Island and I we went on a penguin tour at night. I was so happy that I got to hold the red torch.
They are generally the first things I want to see at the zoo when I go.
