Czerny Octave-Studies Op. 553

Are these studies beneficial? If so, how? Is it wise to make this your primary tool for increase speed and accuracy for your octaves? Thanks!

Personally I would play something else than czerny to improve my technique, just because he is so BORING! There is a lot of great etudes that can help you improve your technique, so play them instead of old boring Czerny.

(My teacher agrees with me, she would never, ever make me play Czerny)

All exercises by Czerny is beneficial... And I think they are kind of fun.
Though I havent played the op 533, but I'm sure they're good.

Furthermore, Czerny was more than a pedantic producer of pedagogical pomposities.  (Shades of Hintonian rhetoric.)  He was a gifted and grossly overlooked composer.
Current repertoire:  "Come to Jesus" (in whole-notes)
