Use the LAME mp3 encoder along with another piece of software.  That other software depends on what you're doing.  If you are editing wav's you can use Audacity.  If you want to do batch conversions, you could use CDex.
Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach
