What are snakes doing here??
on: September 07, 2008, 04:40:24 PM
Last midnight, I saw a snake. In our house. In the bathroom, if that's not creepy enough. And it's not the first time. I told my mom, who was just next door to the bath, and we called my brother to kill it.

A couple of weeks ago, we found a snake in the garden. So, we're thinking since they were the same kind, there might be a family of these. How many snakes are there in a batch of hatchlings? Both snakes were not very big, but were long- around 2 ft. Less than an inch thick. Dark gray. What are these, do they grow bigger, and are they poisonous? Mom had seen a cobra before, when she was young. She says they are not cobras.

...Now that explains the lack of mice in the house the past month...  ::)

Mice are cute. And cats can eat them. Cats are cuter than snakes.

you should keep the snakes to keep the mice population in check and then get a mongoose for the snake
job sorted ;D

Description is too vague to be certain but I would be willing to bet a lot of money that they're not cobras. Other than that not real sure without a more detailed description. Could help more, I've seen lots of snakes

Where do you live? In some places, most or all snakes are poisonous. Do a google search vis a vis your area, there are many reptile/insect identification sites or call the college or university herpetologist, they love this sort of thing, anything to get out of the building for a few hours.  ;)

It was probably in the bathroom because there is water there. Did you take a picture? Do let us know what it was, I myself am very curious...

Yeah... sure.  ;D  If you're a student and writing for an English class, just tell the teacher "Bob said is was ok to use 'Mongeesen.'"

I believe Peter helped find that Badger thread.  I think it was him.  I made a thread called "How to cheer up?" on the Anything But board.  There's more stuff on there.  Banana phone. :)

The two are ok.  I didn't understand the second one.  The last one's in English.  Springtime for Hitler?  With anime cartoons?

This is getting completely off the main topic though.  But I really think Broadway should be anything, not just light stuff.
