Piano Street Magazine:
The Quiet Revolutionary of the Piano – Fauré’s Complete Piano Works Now on Piano Street

In the pantheon of French music, Gabriel Fauré (1845–1924) often seems a paradox—an innovator cloaked in restraint, a Romantic by birth who shaped the contours of modern French music with quiet insistence. Piano Street now provides sheet music for his complete piano works: a body of music that resists spectacle, even as it brims with invention and brilliance. Read more

High rollin' Hockey

Hey everyone,

Here's something a little different. I thought I'd audition my hockey song to you all (part of CBC's Hockey Anthem Contest). If you like it, feel free to cast a vote for it on October 4th. Here's the link:

I look forward to your input. Thanks,

Daniel

Hey Dan

I really like your piece. Does it have words also as to your reference to a 'song'?

It was unbelievable and typical that CBC would have given up the rights to the original piece of music because they were too cheap and nearsighted to realize the importance of keeping it as a Canadian institution.

Hell, I would have made a donation to any effort made to keep the 40 year relationship between Hockey Night in Canada and that piece.

I like the visual presentation as well and it should add impact to the overall presentation.

I'd vote for this piece.

Thanks allthumbs,

Nice to get a thumbs up from you.

I was also saddened to see the original song leave CBC. Oh well, at least another network bought the rights, so the original anthem will live on.

Thanks again for your kind words.
