The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side. (Hunter Thompson)

Wow, I tohught this forum was cold and impersonal. :P
Though that might be because the atmosphere here is way more professional and i don't visit here too often.

Of course it's cold and impersonal.  Just pay attention to the color of that generic forum!  Blue and white is cold.  Black and white, this forum, is like a tuxedo - professional.  And the gold color?  Like the name of the piano on the fallboard.

Wouldn't it be funny if he ended as a moderator in the other forum? ;D

Too bad he couldn't, or wouldn't "calm down" his posts. Even though at times his language might have been alittle colorful, he seemed like an awfully bright person, and contributed to the forum. However, I do respect the way this forum in managed and think it by far the best I've seen, and really commend Nilsjohan for doing such an outstanding job!

I wish him luck in his pursuits!

I swear, every time you post, Sarah, I think you're a guy.  Shag Dac sounds like a guys name.  Sorry, but it's weird.  Like having a girl friend name Henry or Jacob. :o

Is his ban permanent now?  I signed up in the other forum just because he knows an lot of stuff about Alkan.

You are correct Bernhard, thank you. But Faulty....if it's
easier for you to call me Henry or Jacob, you just go right ahead, I'll know who you mean!

;)SUSAN

ps...Speaking of Comme...at least you are not as BLUNT, he actually sent me a personal message explaining to me what "Shag" meant in the UK! Yes, I'm not kidding. That's why I have started putting just a "S", as opposed to  Shag at the end of my posts....go figure...I would have never thought of that...and was not aware of that, I just took the first initials of people in my family according to age and thats what it spelled "Shagdac".
Next time I guess I'll have to spend time figuring out a more suitable name. One without a gender preference...but again, I didn't know it sounded masculine....maybe I outta change it to Shagdette????
Hahahaha....your too funny!
;D

It's Susan and NOT Sarah?  Who's name is Sarah, then?  Well, if no one here is named Sarah, I'll call you Sarah instead.

So what does "Shag" mean in the UK?  A joint?  As in a piece of rolled marijuana?  Or is it something else, like a 'nooner' or something else sexual?

OH yeah, and Sarah sounds much more aurally pleasing that Susan.  It's like the word "moist" or "poodle" in the extreme.  You can use the word "humidity" or "Bernard" since they sound better.  Have you considered changing it to Sarah, instead? ;D

Here is what the Oxford Dictionary has to say: (Guess which meaning Comme had in mind... ;D)

1. a) Carpet or rug with a long rough pile;b) cloth with a velvet nap on one side; c) coarse cut tobacco.

2. Cormorant with a greenish black plumage and a long curly crest in the breeding season.

3. Have sexual intercourse with; an act of sexual intercourse.

4. A dance originating in the US characterised by vigorous hoping from one foot from the other.

5. (Baseball) chase or catch (fly balls) for practice.

Dac on the other hand is the acronym for a digital to analog converter.

Best wishes,
Bernhard.

No, I have not considered changing it, but since Bernhard has enlightened me on versatality of this name....I wouldn't dream of it!!! ;D

And I'm sure you've guessed which one Comme let me know about, but if not...I'll give you a hint........
It is not 1, 2, 4 or 5!

Yeah, I figured it was number 3. ;D

So your username means:

A carpeted digital to analog converter.  I wonder what my user name means... ???
