...because my friends and family have heard it too many times. It is officially impossible for me to get all the classes I want, or even most of them. This may not seem like a big deal, but it's my junior year, which is the most important. At this point I'm not even sure which classes I'm going to end up taking. And because several are AP classes, just the few days I'm missing because my schedule hasn't been sorted out yet will cost me.OK. I'm done.
Don't even worry about school. Why are the junior years so important and what's AP? Here the senior years are important because they determine what courses you can do at uni.
School is like a game. The object is to win and play by the rules. Diplomas, grades and transcripts are usually what people look at. Unfortunately the emphasis is usually in getting the most points (AKA highest grades) instead of obtaining knowledge. If you can get the grades and diplomas that makes prospective higher education or employers happy. They don't really look into whether you actually learned something to get that A+Choose a balance of courses that you can get high marks, and ones that may be pre-requisites to any future education or employment you indented on taking. Real education happens outside of school. Diplomas get you $$$ though
Gahh, I just started my freshman year and I'm pissed off about math...I took the math exam early in the summer so now I'm in Algebra 1, so the course of study (freshman to senior) is Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, pre-calBut AFTER I took the exam, I studied math and now I can do algebra very well, so I'm not learning anything in math class and my counseler refuses to move me up to geometry. So I'll pretty much be stuck doing pre-cal in my senior year unless I take summer courses (bleh)...
