The Damaged hand
on: September 20, 2008, 01:00:37 PM
This is what I have a problem about.
It is about my hand and every-day my hands are starting to get numb, tremor and cold.

And my hands sweat a lot.

I cannot do anything about it. And It is hindering my ability to learn Chopin Etude Opus 25 number 11 which is winter wind.

I always give them a good washing and massage and still they get number and sweating cold.

A certain person told me of this word PASMA and it can be found in Wikipedia.
Can you help me regain this strength.

Interesting that this is just a local thing. I thought it was based in medicine somewhere.  :-\

It happens to me occassionally, usually a sign that I'm nervous... or that it's just too humid in this place. Calm down, find someplace less humid but still cool. Use an electric fan.

Pasma is considered a psychological factor affecting medical conditions? You better go see a doctor? :)

I read some Tibet monks who lived high in the mountains where seen to be walking through the cold area with simply thin looking robes. They where in fact resistant to the cold through the body training they had gone through. Meditating with cold towels on their body until the towels go dry. So you might want to meditate with cold towels over your hands until they dry. ^_^

I hope you are still reading this thread.

First of all, hands going numb is very odd. This might be related to troubles in your spine.

Sweating and tremor rather sounds like a psychological barrier.

In any case you should see a doctor.

Both can't simply be related to an overheated practise room or high air humidity unless you are playing in a sauna.
