August Forster serial #39585

I've found a August Forster 6'4'' grand piano from around 1915 for sale, asking around $1,500 (negotiable) that I'm considering buying. It needs refurbishing I think, and I'm thinking about having a piano technician come look at it, but before I spend the money, is it going to be worth the cost to fix this baby up?

Run to the store and put some type of hex on it if you are not going to get it right away.

I have a preference for slightly bigger instruments, but this one, sight unseen, would have had to be in a sinking boat that caught on fire first or it to be not worth a rebuild.

$1,500 sounds precisely right.

If you are not getting it, doa  favor to the seller and let us know where it is.  It will not last 30 minutes from the time you post, i assure you.

Nice weekend.  Keep us posted!
Money does not make happiness, but it can buy you a piano.  :)

Just buy it, rebuild later when you have the money if you don't have it now.
