Why is there a limit of 30 personal messages per hour?

Wow.  For spammers I would imagine.  Someone's busy with personal messages.  Wow.

Yes the limit is there to prevent spamming.
Do you have any problems that it's set too low?

Well, I'm not allowed to use chat and the chat won't work on our computer. I've been private messaging morningstar...We kind of use that as chat...

Not really any problems, but is there any way morningstar and I can have unlimited messages? Or more than 30? That's ok if you can't do that...I was just wondering.

Why don't you both just get a "hotmail" account??

Then you can IM all day.  ;D

Just because...I'm not allowed to...And no, I'm not a baby, I just listen to my parents. Most of the time.

Well, you;re cutting corners by using the private messaging feature as an instant messenger. It is essentially fulfilling the same purpose, and to try and draw the dinstinction between the two would just be annoying nitpicking. Point being, you're still disobeying your parents. The obvious solution is to just get an instant messenger like AIM or MSN and just don't tell your parents. The issue of parents being overprotective is a whole other matter (one I'd like to get into but won't).

Honestly, I would have to say that my parents would be more annoyed if I tried to circumvent their orders by doing something that has basically the same consequences but is technically different than if I just outright disobeyed them. Are your parents okay with you sending more than 30 personal messages an hour? If they are, you should try to explain to them that a private chat is essentially the same thing. If they aren't, you're already breaking the rules, so...

Ok, ok...I was just asking a simple question...Why is there a 30 message limit? Now I know the answer so....

Well this is a rather awkward topic. :P I have a hotmail account and am allowed to use it, just she isnt. Shouldn't even be using pm apparently so don't see why creating a hotmail account would be much of a stretch but not our decision i guess.

Well that would be kinds unfair wouldn't it? Single you and morningstar out. If you get unlimited messages, everyone will want the same.

So give it to everyone obviously. Or make it an option for people who want it.

I'm guessing this is leading to some innuendo about something...

No, I never wear tank-tops, why do you ask?
