Liebestraum by Liszt
on: September 30, 2008, 03:55:14 AM
Hey, this is a recent video of me practicing Liebestraum, its the first two pages which, which i believe is up to the 26th measure, not sure. i've been playing for about 10 months now, and am self-taught, so i've got a lot of learning to do.
i've been learning this for about a week now. please comment, and constructively criticize.

Please rate and comment on youtube too. thanks.

Be sure to bring out the melody in the LH. Right now it is being trumped
by the RH.

yeah, right now in the practice process im trying really hard to get that soft touch on the accompaniment on the right hand and bring out the singing melody of the left.

i think it would be better if you dont touch the pedal at all for the time being. Then after completely mastering this piece make decisions concerning the pedalling. This is best method I think.

i think i know the problem your referring too.
but since then the piano tuner came, and now with some practice that i've done, everything sounds much clearer. im even playing now with the bass melody being louder than the accompaniment, but not by playing louder, but by softening up the touch on the accompaniment in the treble. its starting to sound pretty good actually.
