It would be cool if members could start their own blogs too.

I like the thoughtfulness of the articles.  More article-like that just random thoughts.

This site must be the nearest an amateur pianist like me can come to heaven on earth. I am most grateful to pianostreet.com. But I miss for instance the norwegian composer Christian Sinding. About 100 years ago, he was regarded as greater than Edward Grieg. Unfortunately he delivered a radio speech in 1941, just before he died the same year, in advantage of Vidkun Quisling. After that he is almost totaly forgotten. Perhaps he could be forgiven now. In my opinion, his Frülingsrauschen is one of the best pianopieces ever written. But thanks again for this wonderful site.

Thanks everyone for the positive feedback!

Regarding Sinding, as you mention he died in 1941 so we will have to wait until 2012 before publishing his works.

Why is there a 50 year wait? Just curious.

There always is, same as census forms (which is 100 years). It's legal reasons, etc.

Google it, you'll get detailed descriptions there...probably.

I assume its 50 years til people can use the music without the need to ask the publisher or something?
