What are the differences between the two competitors?
McCain is too old, too crippled and obviously losing his mental faculties. Otherwise, why would a man of his experience and intelligence have Sarah Palin for a running mate? She's been offically charged with ethics violations in Alaska, where she is governor, a state, btw, whose population is one third that of Brooklyn, NY, and where she's only governed for 20 months. Prior to that she was mayor of a town of 7000, known for alcoholism, epidemic rape and Right-wing Christian zealotry.
Read any of her "speeches" and responses to journalists and you know she has no background, no real education, no sense of grammar, BUT she has good looks and an overwhelming talent to stir up hatred in her listeners. She's got the ears of America's most stupid, ill-educated and misinformed sentimentalists, i.e. the American Christian Right. She's the "patriots'" poster girl. She's unofficially speaking for the racist element, so powerful in America, who won't tolerate a (half) Black man in the White House.
She postures herself as a super-patriot and All-AMerican Mom (gag).
The irony is that her husband, who will co-govern with her if she is elected as he's done illegally in Alaska, was, until 2006, a member of Alaska's notoroius Alaskan Liberation Party, organized to secede from the US. The Party is well-known for its inflammatory rhetoric denouncing the US. She herself was keynote speaker at that Party's convention in 2006, so she's tied to this radical anti-federal party as well.
A patriot? No, she's a self-serving, ambitious monster who's gotten lucky. She ain't Evita, but she'd love to be.
Obama/Biden, though not perfect, are far preferable to this fascist wind-up doll.
McCain, clearly, should retire. He's too old for such an arduous job. It will kill him in two years and Palin will govern. The ultimate nightmare for thinking Americans.
