Time for Breakfast
on: October 18, 2008, 08:20:50 AM
 ;D

The morning comes to the four corners of the world and . . .

What does everyone eat for breakfast?  I had been eating Quaker Organic Oatmeal for a long stretch, but for awhile now I haven't eaten anything for breakfast, just a little orange-strawberry-banana juice.  I ate Grapenuts and a banana for a long time too.  They gave me a lot of energy.

I drink about 1/2 liter of milk.
Can't bring myself to eat solid food when I wake.

Always eat breakfast.  Period.  It's the meal that matters.  And why don't you eat real food?

I eat egg whites/ham/cottage cheese or eggs/toast/cereal with skim milk for breakfast, depending on whether it's a carb/protein or a protein/fat meal.

I'm too lazy to wake up early enough to eat breakfast every morning, but when I do, it's either cereal or yogurt.
It all happens on Discworld, where greed and ignorance influence human behavior... and perfectly ordinary people occasionally act like raving idiots.

A world, in short, totally unlike our own.

Toast isn't real food?

I have to leave the house fairly early in the morning, some days I just don't have time.

Toast is imaginary food.
You have to really believe the toast is there otherwise your hand will go through it.

Well it's breakfast time now and it looks like I'll be having fruit of some kind once I get dressed.

It depends. If I get up early I usually just eat cereal, and coffee (this takes a long time, becasue it must be good coffee, and that takes time to make, by the time I grind the beans etc...)

If I get up at a normal time, I will go to a cafe, and eat whatever they have and coffee.

If I get up late, I usually just wait until lunch time to at properly, but still drink coffee, and get some food then.

I need coffee on mornings...I don't function well without it. I love coffee, and it puts me in a good mood...especially if it is very good coffee!

For me, a meal isn't complete without at least 60g of protein.  If you only eat carbs, you'll be hungry in 3 hours.

2 Weetabix with milk (full fat - reduced fat milk is an abomination, you might as well put plimsoll whitener in or on your food), and 2 or 3 slices of bread with something on them. And two large mugs of coffee.

Yeah, I agree with you about the milk.  Whole is the way it naturally comes.

A bowl of bran, protein powder and milk, softened for ten minutes with hot water, and one fruit separately, usually a banana. Then either green tea, an espresso from beans I grind myself, or squeezed juice from citrus trees in the garden if available.

For me it depends on the day.  Today I ate a brownie.   :D

On an early morning, I may grab a sausage biscuit on my way to school.  And to whoever said they drink at breakfast........I do too...
