Kath and Kim
on: October 18, 2008, 03:13:23 PM
I really love the Australian Kath and Kim, I own the entire DVD collection and have watched it countless times
In Australia now however we have been getting the American version of Kath and Kim. What a joke! I can't believe how terrible it is. Gina Riley(Kim), Jane Turner(Kath), Glen Robbins(Kel), Peter Rowsthorn(Bretty, Kim's husband), Magda Szubanski (Sharon, Kim's 2nd best friend lol) are Australian comedic legends that make the Aussie series work so well. The absence of their magic in the American version is so obvious the jokes just don't work.
It's different. It's unusual.... but it's not nice. lol
