Who is Melody Bober? For new Gershwin arrangements

I'm not a big fan of advertisting for others, but this looks somewhat interesting...

Who is Melody Bober?  Anyone know?

Or has anyone possibly seen these?  Decent?  Easy/challenging?

It's Alfred.  That's not the greatest sign.

Looks like Melody Bober has done other arrangments.  If that's a real name.   I suppose that's a good sign, that this person might have an idea of how to arrange well.

She's a very nice lady who writes decent intermediate level piano solos; I've had two students play her "Sleigh Ride Fantasy". She came to my city about six or seven years ago and she did the Alfred sales pitch bit, "masterclass with the composer", that sort of stuff. She played her pieces and invited us to sight read her duets with her, I think I was the only one present who rose to the occasion. Her arrangements of Gershwin are probably good, and playable by younger students.

But to really play Gershwin, you must play him or jam on the changes  8)

Yes, she is a pedagogical writer.  My students who have played her pieces have enjoyed them.  I haven't heard anything about this book though, so I can't comment on that specifically.
When you earnestly believe you can compensate for a lack of skill by doubling your efforts, there's no end to what you can't do.
