Hi Everybody,
I'm new to this forum. I'm a returning student; I didn't touch the piano for many years and I'm now back to it.
I'm currently studying with a Russian teacher (from Moscow Conservatory) and I'm restarting from Bach's Inventions and some Mozart.

I'm from Italy but I dislike opera music  ::) ; I'm rather more interested in:
Baroque - Bach, Handel
Classical - Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven
Romantic & Modern - Chopin, Mendelsshon, Brahms, Debussy, Rachmaninov, Gershwin

Hello. So this is an introduction?

You like pretty much everything except opera? Or you just happen to like popular composers?

I like:
Baroque and Earlier - Scarlatti, Bach, Renaissance and Folk music
Classical - only Beethoven atm. no Mozart please
Romantic - only Chopin atm, and maybe Brahms and Schumann. no Liszt, no Schubert please
Modern - romantic sounds like Rach, Scriabin. Spanish sounds like Albeniz, Granados. Gershwin maybe. Bartok maybe. Funny composers like Satie and PDQ Bach.

Operas? The only one I've seen live is Bluebeard's Castle by Bartok. I happen to like it. Not a big fan of opera/ broadway/ movies, except when the story is that good.
I'm sinking like a stone in the sea,
