Stay Logged In?

I can't stay logged in.  I'm automatically logged out after a few hours, and it's kinda annoying.  Cookies and whatnot are turned on, and I don't have this problem with any other website...

Ideas?

It's to stop people cluttering the site up when they're not even on the computer. Things would go slower, etc. So there's a time limit...it's nothing drastic and you can simply log back in.

I doubt that would make any difference at all...  Other forums I frequent don't have this arbitrary time limit and they don't run slow at all.  And the fact that when you log in it takes you to your 'my account' page rather than the forum index is annoying as well.

It's not a huge problem, since like you said, I can easily just log back in, but it's still annoying to have to log in multiple times every day.

If you click the box (when signing in) that says: "Remember Me" (or something similar to that) then when you are automatically logged out, you just click "Login" again and it'll sign you back in automatically. That's what I do anyway.

I don't get it. Sometimes I leave this site open all day and I never get logged out. Is  that normal?

Random thought: Is this maybe one of those limits that work like the 30 pm limit? Just a thought.
