Victor Borge Spinoff
on: November 10, 2008, 06:15:16 AM
I was initially going to play fantasie-impromptu and the ocean etude but decided I wanted to make it more entertaining for the audience (high school talent show), so I watched a Victor Borge video (page-turner) and ideas just started flying. I did steal a lot of ideas from him but atleast I stole from the best.
The etude came out really sketchy but it was the first time I had performed it for an audience so it should hopefully only get better.

any thoughts?

Since everything is played in small bits plus the with camcorder set a distance from the piano it is difficult to really comment on the music.  However your audience liked the performance and I myself thought it was fun.  It did remind me of Victor Borge.  Made me wish I still had those VHS tapes of him.  I'll give you a thumbs up.

If you decide to do something like this again upload a practice.  Suggestions may be more relevant before the actual performance.
I am no longer fighting my inner demons.  We are now all on the same side.
