Paul G. Mehlin & Sons Inverted Grand
on: December 19, 2001, 05:25:31 AM
Hello kind forum.
I have recently purchased a clean, but VERY used, Mehlin Inverted Grand and have been scouring the 'net looking for info on it, but can't find much... or anything.
It's kinda hard to read the interior labeling, but I can see a bunch of patent numbers from 1800's, the name as stated above, and a separate stand out label stating:
Mehlin
26329
Patent Grand
When I look this patent number up on the US Patent website, it exists, but there doesn't seem to be any info attached to the patent.
Thanks for any help.

Dear Billy,
I don't know what this means - what is an inverted grand??
BTW, I know your child's old piano teacher from the Hamptons. (If this really IS Billy)

Rich, thanks for the response... if only I were the REAL Billy Joel... I'm not. Just a dream to play as well as him.
Inverted Grand, or Vertical Grand, is the same brass harp internals as a Grand Piano, only vertical.
