I like glasses better because it takes me 30 minutes to take contacts off.  :P

Glasses or Contacts?

tanman ~ are you deliberately causing trouble? LOL, why couldn't you have called this thread something more relevant? ;)

Glasses are easier to use because contacts involve too much fiddiling. The only problems with glasses is that they break and you have a frame around your eyes so it is like looking out of a small window.

Of course those with "assisted vision" (as lau says) need such instruments to "assist" them to see. :P

Heh, after while you don't notice, I've been known to look around for my glasses because I was wearing them for so long I was just filtering out the frames.

Women and the Chopin Competition: Breaking Barriers in Classical Music

The piano, a sleek monument of polished wood and ivory keys, holds a curious, often paradoxical, position in music history, especially for women. While offering a crucial outlet for female expression in societies where opportunities were often limited, it also became a stage for complex gender dynamics, sometimes subtle, sometimes stark. From drawing-room whispers in the 19th century to the thunderous applause of today’s concert halls, the story of women and the piano is a narrative woven with threads of remarkable progress and stubbornly persistent challenges.
