christmas themed music
on: November 14, 2008, 09:20:40 PM
Well at college we are preparing for our annual christmas concert and since it is a popular music course my tutor thought it would be a nice idea for me to perform a classical cristmas themed piece

now i am preferably looking for one by one of the major composers and it can't be too long, and i am not looking as such for hym transcriptions either

It also can't be very hard as i don't have too long to prepare this piece, to give you an idea of my level i am currently working on Beethoven sonata no. 19 in G Minor and Bach invention no. 4

any suggestions will be much appreciated thanks

Agreed. Can't better than that, or some of the other Vingt Regards. Some of them have a Christmas-y feel to them.

John Bayless has this excellent album "Christmas Rhapsody". I'm still waiting for the sheet music to be released, but someone on gamingforce.org has written down two pieces.

Beautiful music
