Schumann Konzertstück, Op 134

AKA, Introduction and Allegro in D minor.

Does anyone here LOVE this work as much as I do?  To hell with those who think Schumann lost his 'genius' in later years.  I adore this music... any thoughts?

Yes Yes and Yes

I prefer the Allegro Appasionato but this one is also great I prefer these to many a piano Concerto

and the Schumann concerto I would say is possibly my favourite concerto

Nice to find another Schumann lover on this forum ;D

Indeed Sir and to hell with those who think he never had any to begin with.

I don't think i have heard this particular work, so i WILL make an effort to have a listen.

There's a lot of great Schumann written late in his life.

The violin sonatas, Op. 105 and 121.

That fabulous "Konzertstuck fur vier Horner und grosses Orchester," Op. 86.

An early work that I truly admire and love is "Das Paradies und die Peri."
Current repertoire:  "Come to Jesus" (in whole-notes)

It has some absolutely glorious moments, doesn't it?

Oh the perfidy, someone was trashing it on another forum recently...  >:(
