lol I imagine I would go there with my 44 years and play my "Styx" and just see the stunned perplex faces and be thrown out before the first round. I really wish I had the strength to do it. What's all this about competitions anyway?

I think I too would play Pianowolfi's "Styx" if I knew it. That sucker's intense!  8)

Competitions are great! I used to do them occasionally (when I was young enough, which is well over a decade ago now) just because I was guaranteed a captive audience on whom to try out various composers and pieces they'd never heard of. I never remotely expected to get beyond the first round but I had loads of fun.
Instrumentalists are all wannabe singers. Discuss.
