I thought Beethovens birthday was unknown? the book i read about didn't give a specfic date it only said it was in december this was because his father destroyed his birth certificate so he could profit for longer out of a child prodigy

Beethoven is dead.  Maybe he'll be ressurrected with better hearing.  If any had reason to wonder about G-d it was Beethoven. However, he didn't seem to complain that much.  Basically, after Heiligenstadt he just gave up the idea of controlling his life in the ultimate sense. He was a very real and very profound person.  He let all his emotions out.

Happy birthday Beethoven (can you hear me - i SAID...)

As I recall it is believed to be either Dec 16 or 17.
Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach

I'm happy he didn't kill himself! He is the epitome of irony IMO. A deaf composer, life is so cruel! >:(
