Transcriptions of the Ride of the Valkyries
on: December 14, 2008, 12:08:20 PM
Anyone have the Brassin one?

Or any others?

I've got the Tausig, so I'll post it to start the thread off.

Thanks in advance.

Here is the Brassin (not my scan). I think Thibaudet plays this one on the "Opera without words" CD.

Wow, spoilt for choice :)

Yes, Thibaudet did play the Brassin one on his Opera without words cd.

Arguably rather a pointless piece of pedantry on my part, but I'm working on the Tausig arrangement just now and it seems to me that the notation is incorrect in the last bar at the bottom of page 7 of the pdf and for the next 3 bars (all C sharps should be C natural); thereafter it is notationally correct.

Long shot, I suppose: anyone have Lemare's transcription for organ?
