A Free Grand Piano? – Scammers Target Piano Enthusiasts

If you’re in the market for a piano, be cautious of a new scam that’s targeting music lovers, businesses, schools, and churches. Scammers are offering “free” pianos but with hidden fees that can add up to hundreds of dollars and, as you may have guessed, the piano will never be delivered. Read more

Are there any masterpieces comparable to these two songs?
Please brainstorm a list of songs, if you know what I'm talkin about.
Need new songs.

PIECES. You may be stoned for calling these songs. And do they have to be orchestral?

a personal list:
Beethoven piano sonatas
Mozart - Symphony No. 40
Chopin - "Heroic" Polonaise, Etudes, Preludes etc.
Liszt - Liebestraum, La Campanella, Etudes, etc.
Bach - Brandenburg Concertos
Rachmaninoff - Piano Concerto No. 2, Preludes, etc.
Rodrigo - Concierto de Aranjuez
Rimsky-Korsakov - Scheherazade

There are many great works. It's a matter of personal taste. My personal favorites are the solo piano works (sonatas and short pieces).

To play or to listen to?  Are you new to classical music? Well a couple of my favorites.  Mussorky's Pictures at an Exhibition (I like orginal piano scores the best, but there are many orcheteral arrangments that are lovely.), William Grant Still and I think it is "The Four Horseman." I will have to look it up though.  Can not rightly recall if that is correct.  Debussy's "Jardin et suis la pluie"  Pretty much anything I hear Rachmaninov.  "Tender land suite" by Copeland.

Oh and Beethoven's 3rd sympony heroica is my personal favorite of his symphonies.  William tell Overture, I have to say, I never much cared for.  I bought a CD of Roussinnis once lost it and never cared to replace it.  To each their own I guess.

hope this helps
I am no longer fighting my inner demons.  We are now all on the same side.

As for songs, my favorite is still "Wegweiser" from "Winterreise" by Franz Schubert.

That was the first CD we listened to for school. Very nice introduction.
