legal free downloads
on: January 11, 2009, 01:39:08 AM
I have 3 teens who would like to play Yiruma's - River runs through you
in the spring national piano guild auditions.  The music is a free download on several sites.  The one my students have used is upiece.co.kr    According to guild rules, no music may be copied.  How do I go about getting a legal permission?  The only importer I can find is Hanbooks, and what they have is an entire book of his music.  Is there any of you who know where I could purchase this piece or perhaps how to get the website to give permission?  thanks in advance, bluepianist

I trust you've checked amazon.com and sheetmusicplus.

If they don't have it, then things get a bit tricky and may involve tracking down the legal copyright owner(s)... a pain.

I hope you can find an edition housing the music in question. Good luck.
