Werner Haas has a recording of the Sancan Toccata and Alicia de Larrocha recorded the Sonatine pour Yvette. These are both quite attractive, quirky works. In my opinion, the Sancan Flute Sonatina is vastly overrated. Works like his Mouvement and his Piano Concerto need more attention. Montsalvatge just needs more attention, period.

Retrouvailles----I googled Werner Haas and came up with Debussy, Ravel, and a box set of various composers. Do you have any other information? I am sure i can find the Montsalvatge Sonatine. Thanks for your help.

Gerryjay----I am planning on learning the Toccata this summer and the 3rd movement of the Sonatine for a Repertoire class I play in monthly. Thanks for your help.

I don't remember where I got the Werner Haas recording. It's on its own in my files collection. It might have been off an LP, for it is of poor audio quality. Hopefully there is a more modern version out, which I would like to have.
