looking for a good humidifier

One that doesn't use filters because then you have to replace the filter all the time.

One that actually works and humidifies the air instead of just blowing air and making noise.   ::)

For several rooms.  Or a couple humidifiers for several rooms if one can't do the job.

And preferably energy saving.

I can't stand this dry air.   >:(

I think you mean humidifier.  Dehumidifier takes away humidity, usually used in summer when it is muggy and humid.

I have one in the piano room and one in my bedroom, plus the one attached to the central air.  They have wicks though.
Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach

Bob, when I read your thread for a good humidifier, I remembered this line from comedian Stephen Wright:

"For my birthday I got a humidifier and a de-humidifier... I put them in the same room and let them fight it out."

I keep seeing them in the store.  Some advertised without filters.

Of course... If you have hard water, it's going to leave deposits in the machine (or spray all that garbage into the air so it gets on your stuff).  Deposits would mean extra work cleaning the machine or having the machine break eventually.  That's not good.

And it would use more power.  I'll keep my eyes open but I doubt I'll find anything good.
