Which would you choose?
on: January 15, 2009, 09:38:28 PM
Hi, My teacher wants me to pick a new piece to get through so ive decided to go for one of the following:

Rachmaninoff - Moment musical 4 in Eminor
Scraibin - Etude in D# Minor
Liszt - Trans. etude no.10

Any suggestions as to which one???? I like them all equally :)

I don't know what to suggest for you, but I would personally choose the Scriabin for completely my own reasons, and not necessarily having anything to do with the individual pieces.  I just haven't played any Scriabin yet !

Liszt since its a better Etude than the Scriabin imo and requires a more well rounded technique.

 dear fredwolfergei:
my first suggestion would be to choose what you like the most, but i must agree with lostinidle (although i don't qualify it as better): the liszt etude is the most interesting challenge of the three.
 best!
