on: June 07, 2004, 03:00:29 AM
I have been looking everywhere, but I havent found a place where I can download LIVE RECORDINGS (no MIDIs) of Beethoven's 3rd Sonata (Op. 2 No. 3) and the Tempest Sonata (Op.31 No.2)
Can anyone help me out?
Thank you so much

There's software that lets you record streaming audio from the internet and save it as wav or mp3 files.  I use Total Recorder - standard edition.  It works great and isn't too expensive either.  That would be the next best thing to downloading the wav or mp3 files.

ummm is it legal?  if so, that would be great! I could tap into Naxo's huge supply of music we "cant" download.  Where did you get it?

Total Recorder standard edition can be downloaded at:

https://www.highcriteria.com

You can evaluate it (unregistered - you can only record 45 seconds, and cannot save files), then purchase a registration code for $11.95 US Dollars for unlimited recording and saving capabilities.  It's definately worth the money.

look, I cant find any recordings at the library for burning, so it's either pay through my nose for a cd, or download.

Donjuan,

I have a subscription to the Classical archives, so I can download the live recordings. I think It would be Ok to send it to you via e-mail. I'm sure no one would know...
It may take a while to download via E-mail though... Let me know if you're interested...

It is so benevolent of you to help me, but my email is limited to 2 MB.

Thanks everyone for your kind thoughts and gestures, but I have obtained the music from my friend who managed to have a recording for me to burn.

Thank you so much for your time!
I love you all, really.
