Blown away....
on: October 16, 2002, 05:44:54 AM
This weekend we had the pleasure of attending one of a recital series being put on by Classical Grands in Seattle, Washington.  Alexander Paley was the pianist this time, being sponsored by Bluthner.  He was simply fantastic!  He played a model 1 Bluthner, and opened with Beethoven's Apassionata Sonata - then the six Liszt Grand paganini Etudes, then 4 Chopin Scherzi.  My brain was tired, and I didn't even play the stuff!

Have any of you guys heard him?  He was wonderful!  I think he lives in New York City, but obviously plays all over (the world, not just the keyboard)
So much music, so little time........

Alexander Paley is a great pianist, I love his recording of the Scriabin Etudes.
