You should not be sending him this music, even privately. Kapustin and his publishers desperately need the money.

So much so, in all probability, that it might not come amiss were someone to point out to the latter that attempts are being made to circulate copies of this repertoire without due permission. There is all too much of this kind of activity going on and those who inevitably suffer from it are the composers and their publishers.

No one in his/her right mind wants to restrict availability of such music - that would be to fly in the face of the very reason for publishing - but in just the same way as no one other than a thief expects to use someone else's car for free, people should understand that such unauthorised circulation of copyright material is theft, plain and simple. If certain people don't want any more new music, then they should continue to thieve in this way and then eventually many composers will in all probability stop composing.

What Thalbergmad and Alistair said - also noting that a search that took me less than one minute via Google led me to the discovery of both those scores in print, for sale, readily available and at sensible prices.

This is the internet age, people! Ignorance is no longer a plausible excuse.

I have not said anything in this thread until now ;D

Mr Oreno often seems to use this phrase, but we cannot be certain that he is actually sending the score.

I must admit that if i were to break copyright, the last thing i would do would be to make people suspicious that i had done so.

One day he will have something in his messages box that might make him wish he had done things differently.

I'm not Thal, of course (only one person could ever be that!) but, having contriuted to this thread along similar lines to him, should we therefore assume that when you wrote "check your messages box" you were not referring to having transmitted any of Kapustin's scores as an attachment to or other inclusion in a message? If so, then fine.

Any recommended dealer within EU that is trustworthy? I remember doing a search aswell a few months back but all I ended up with was Japanese Amazon. I couldn´t make much sense of of it. What about this one https://www.tutti.co.uk/sheet-music/view_by_composer/Kapustin,%20Nikolai? I´m paranoid with giving out credit card digits.  :-[

Chappell of Bond Street. A real shop (not in Bond Street any more but still using that name) and mail order too. I've also used musicroom.com.
