how to choose best piano

Just what should we be looking/listening for when we choose a new piano given that the sound can be voiced to some extent by a good tuner and given that it will need playing in? I'm talking grand piano if that makes a difference.

Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach

Yes thanks. That was really helpful. There were a few things I wouldn't have thought of. We went for a Boston 193 in the end so here's hoping it copes with the church environment!
