what does tempo mean?

what does tempo mean?In some music sheet I saw tempo 1 or tempo de la marcia etc. what does it mean?

Just click on the music dictionary at the top of the forum page.  then you can
type in "tempo" to find the meaning.  It's a good resource for finding music terms, etc.

The music dictionary definition is the rate of speed or movement. On your sheet music where it says Tempo 1 it means go back to the same speed that you were playing at the beginning of the piece.
