Fantasie Op. 1 (3 Pieces for Piano Solo) - complete version
on: February 28, 2009, 02:55:19 PM
No. 1 (Solitude) in f minor Andante molto espressivo
No. 2 (Passion) in g minor Allegro molto appassionato
No. 3 (Happiness) in D major Andante ma non troppo e grazioso
Just finished (including live recording) in yesterday...I got the main idea from my lesson pieces by Schumann and Brahms, but I tried to include everything I have learned in searching for a new style...
One thing is, though, my piano playing kind of sucks, and it needs to be some more tempo/rhythm consistent, use more dynamic contrast as in the score, smoother and more natural melody treatment, and clearer pedaling (aside from wrong notes and memory lapses)...
Could you comment on the pieces as I will need to further refine them for submission to my composition recital in next month? THX
