Where can I get a chord chart with these chords?!?
on: March 08, 2009, 06:02:22 AM
Where can I get the 12 major, 12 minor, 12 augmented, 12 diminished chord
chart or listing?

Does anyone have a link?

If so can someone please drop the link for them?

Or post them if you got the time.

I'd greatly appreciate it.

I havent found a site yet that shows all of them, most sites only show a few.

You might want to write them out youself.  It's more important to have them in your mind than on paper.  I've never found those charts that useful, but that's just me.  Maybe as a check if you're drilling yourself on chords.

Don't forget context either.  I'm guessing you're getting 12 from the tones, but they're spelling in many ways.  In major and minor scales, you end up with a#dim and Bbdim.  And augmented... I suppose there's the harmonic minor scale for context on that, but I think those are however you want to spell them.  But thinking through them, I remember thinking "Am I ever going to see D# minor or D# Major?"  Yes.  D# minor has 6 sharps in the key signature and D# Major is the V in anything G#.

Yeah, I was asking around just to drill myself on chords.

As a visual reminder to make them stick, a little better.

But thank you for the advice, because advice to me is knowledge,
so thanks for your knowledge.

errr you mean just triads right? Most I think the jazz real books usually have listings of all the types of chords but usually in one key. I agree tho. It will do you allot of good to go though and transpose them all yourself and then use that.
